Opportunity Summary 

There is an opportunity to learn the different roles and positions the Monterey County Probation Department offers. There are four major areas in the probation department: Adult Division, Juvenile Division, Juvenile Hall and the Youth Center.

Opportunity Training 

The students will be assisted by a Probation Manager and will outline the expectations for each assignment.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

There will be visits to County Jail and Juvenile Hall, which may feel uncomfortable at first, but the student will always be accompanied by an officer.
