Program Information

Remote Service

General Description:

  • Program evaluation, design, planning and implementation
  • Digital asynchronous education
  • Supporting live virutal education and outreach implementation
  • Supporting peer education programming (youth and adult)
  • Administrative support- data input, formatting, document and data compilation/editing

Key responsibilities:

  • Learn about varying design frameworks and apply those frameworks to program content
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines as assigned
  • Ability to establish realistic goals within time limits of internship hours
  • Prepare educational and informational materials, exercises, and activities that are age and culturally appropriate for target population
  • Process program and demographic data a assigned

Desired Intern Characteristics:

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and virtually
  • Willingness to be exposed to and learn from a variety of different teams and work plans/styles/objectives
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills
  • Interest in community engagement (especially with youth)
  • Follow directions and asks clarifying questions to ensure tasks completed with accuracy
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a virtual team setting

Special Considerations:

  • Background knowledge in sexual and reproductive health and/or comfort in discussing human sexuality
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish/Hmong/Vietnamese/Chinese/American Sign Language
  • Experience working with youth
  • Flexibility to thrive within a constantly changing environment
  • Positive youth development skills

Affiliate wide trainings (5-10 hours) and education department trainings (30-50 hours)
