MentorAt — Youth Mentoring Connection
Opportunity Summary
Be a mentor to disadvantaged high school youth from South LA. In addition to being a mentor, students will actively recruit other mentors by using networking skills and representing the organization at various public and private meetings. Youth Mentoring is a fun, cool place to do service learning.
Opportunity Learning Outcomes
How to listen more than give advice. They will learn how to make a difference in someone's life and figure out how to function in a group. They will hone professional skills re responsibility and reliability, as well as problem solving and creativity.
Opportunity Training
Students will be part of a team that maximizes results by targeting areas where mentors can be identified.
