Opportunity Summary 

This internship is intended to provide you with training, mentorship, and practical experience in the nonprofit sector, including exposure to public health initiatives, community engagement efforts and advocacy work dedicated to improving health outcomes and expanding access to resources for underserved populations.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Students will have a greater understanding of the role of the federal government, the legislative process, and consumer healthcare policy issues.

Opportunity Training 

Students will be given clear instructions, appropriate resources and timely deadlines to perform successfully.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Students will have to use public transportation or shared ride options to attend meetings and stakeholder events around the city. Transportation will be their responsibility.

Opportunity Application Instructions 

This is a hybrid opportunity. Core in-person office days are Tuesday-Thursday. Staff can work remotely Mondays & Fridays.
