Students will understand the many roles social workers can play on a school campus and will have exposure to individual counseling, case management, assessment, rapport-building, treatment planning, and many other elements of school social work. Students will develop clinical skills in the school setting. Students will develop strong understanding of the systems involved in the educational field and how to navigate those through the social work lens.
Individual and group supervision will be provided, as well as in-the-moment consultation. We have a very supportive learning structure in place with a lot of access to your supervisor for support throughout the day.
