Opportunity Summary 

An orientation to ARC’s population served, values, philosophy, and practice at the beginning of their fieldwork placement. An opportunity to conduct fieldwork in a variety of ways at ARC (individual and group therapy, policy work, community outreach events, etc). Training on a wide range of topics applicable to working with individuals, groups of men, women, and youth who are returned citizens. Weekly supervision provided by an ARC clinician with an appropriate degree or license. Weekly group supervision when applicable to the student’s fieldwork agreement. Multiple team and member retreats for interns to also be apart of (created for member and staff team building and connection time).

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

How to provide and support ARC members in various settings (group therapy, individual therapy, and member events). How to conduct and complete appropriate intakes, form reviews, an increase in policy insight, how to facilitate learning groups and individual therapy.

Opportunity Training 

Trainings include but are not limited to: Boundaries, self discloser, crisis intervention, documentation, Post incarceration syndrome training, addiction and recovery, group facilitating, policy information/group.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

To be in office all staff are to be up today with their Covid Vaccines; masks worn while in facility or at community event.
