Opportunity Summary 

Make a difference in people's lives by linking them with the supports they need to achieve their personal goals. Providing case management services - developing, implementing and monitoring Individual Program Plans (IPPs) for clients with developmental disabilities. Clients of the regional center are a diverse population of all ages with a variety of needs. Opportunities available in Sacramento and surrounding areas.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

A person centered approach to assess individual's life goals, strengths, capabilities, barriers, concerns and problems. Knowledge of generic and specialized resources available to support clients in overcoming obstacles and achieving desired outcomes. Effective methods of measuring and evaluating client progress.

Opportunity Training 

Interns will be provided a week of training and orientation before joining their team to participate in shadowing opportunities to observe the work regional center staff do with their clients. Ongoing training and support will be provided by the Field Instructor and assigned Task Supervisor to support continued professional development based on client specific needs and the student learning agreement.
