Opportunity Summary 

Work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals implementing Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) across a large multi-site government organization. Department of State Hospital provides care and treatment for 6,000 forensic mental health patients... individuals with serious mental illness and criminal justice involvement. Our TIC program focuses on those 6,000 patients - and the 11,000 employees who serve them. Work in program development, implementation, and evaluation. Participate in efforts related to assessment and treatment, policy development, data collection and monitoring, and major systems change. *Opportunity to participate in research, literature review, outcome evaluation, co-publishing.* Join an amazing team of trauma champions seeking to create safety, healing, and resilience for 17,000 individuals statewide.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Concepts of organizational assessment and culture change, policy development, change management principles, program development and evaluation, data collection and monitoring, trauma-informed care principles, evidence-based practices for traumatized individuals.

Opportunity Training 

Student will have access to a variety of training and personal coaching to assist with performing responsibilities

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Primarily remote with possibility of on-site visit to one of our hospitals and/or headquarters. Visit would involve full escort and safety protocols would be explained beforehand.
