Opportunity Summary 

Join the Sierra College Behavioral Intervention CARE Team where you will join a multidisciplinary team of administrators and counselors to provide coordinated support for students in distress, experiencing personal challenges, and mental health concerns. The CARE Team also serves as the College's threat assessment team.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Crisis intervention skills, personal counseling skills (solution focused and motivational interviewing), equity practices in the Community College setting, working with DI populations in an education setting, case management practices, suicide assessments, safety and support planning.

Opportunity Training 

Standards of case management and NaBITA - threat assessment training. Equity trainings; such as bias in the workplace, title ix, supporting students of color, mental health. Suicide assessment trainings.
