Opportunity Summary 

A new partnership between the Sacramento County Office of Education and the Sacramento County Department of Health Services is breaking ground on an innovative way to address children and youth mental health by placing a licensed mental health clinician in every school in the county to work within a continuum of care at the school site. Licensed mental health clinicians will provide direct mental health services and equitable support, while also working to integrate Social Emotional Learning into the entire school community and further develop Schools as Centers of Wellness.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

to be part of a multidisciplinary team clinical evidence based practices that work with children to support Social Emotional Learning implementation on a school campus to work with diverse clients to support students and families with access to resources and basic needs

Opportunity Training 

We will have an orientation to onboard the students to our program. We will also hold monthly trainings that students will be able to attend related to their field and the student populations they serve on their school sites.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Our schools follow very stringent safety protocols and drills and procedures will be discussed and followed in orientation and when the placement begins.
