Opportunity Summary
This is an opportunity to work with homeless clients at day shelters. We have two in midtown and one in Del Paso Heights. There are other similar opportunities.
Opportunity Learning Outcomes
You will have learned how to communicate and assist homeless residence in Sacramento County. You will also learn about resources from both the government and non-profits. You will lean how to work with volunteers and other social service providers .
Opportunity Training
There will be some training videos and training by professionals however the most effective and important training will be participating hands on at the respite centers.
Additional risk specific to this opportunity
The first day there will be safety training. Also you will always be working with a team.
