Opportunity Summary 

Immigration and Legal Service Interns will interview clients in-person and telephonically related to applications (including but not limited to naturalization and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival renewal applications), observe consultation interviews, prepare immigration legal documents, assist with case management, research immigration law, and participate in trainings in-person and via webinar.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Proficiency in using software such as Lawlogix, gaining a broader understanding of DACA and naturalization, increasing relational skills and competency in interviews, gaining efficiency in researching immigration law, and growing in case-management capacity.

Opportunity Training 

The Immigration & Legal services intern will be supervised and supported by our staff attorneys, who have outlined a training curriculum to get them familiar with the field, their functions within the department, and relevant software.
