Youth Wellness Facilitator At — SAC Connect

Opportunity Summary 

Through fun and active meetups, the Youth Connect group provides tools to youth that promote connection, self-care, and academic support through a culturally responsive lens. The Youth Connect Workshop will allow a group of 10-15 youth to meet in person and/or virtually and engage in fun activities, learn positive/healthy coping skills, and decompress from the everyday stressors of life as they navigate childhood/adolescence. Available Services: 1. Wednesday Group (tentatively 3pm-430pm); Monday Group (3-430pm) 2. Outreach Tabling and Special Events Staff Responsibilities: - Assist lead Facilitator with Youth Connect Group planning and implementation. -Attend specialized trainings and workshops. -Assist with special events and outreach efforts.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Implement research based mental health and wellness interventions for middle and high school students, facilitate group therapy, documentation, crisis intervention, advocacy, and support.
