Wellness intern At — College Track

Opportunity Summary 

Wellness interns are assigned a caseload of students that they meet with 1-1 as they navigate their high school experience. All students in your caseload will be recommended as highlighted through our screening tool. The wellness intern will also have an opportunity to conduct workshops focused on any topic focused on mental health or personal healing (examples might include: stress management, first gen experience navigation in college, yoga, art and counseling, poetry and writing). The wellness intern will be a part a team and through our combined work will be a part the college access experience.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

How to support students learn coping strategies, skill building, healing techniques and curriculum support. Students will also learn how to to connect with schools and understand non profit and school district hiring expectations.

Opportunity Training 

Youth mental health first aid training, mandating reporting training and in house PD

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Staff must be vaccinated and booster against covid-19. All staff are expectation to follow on site safety guidelines which might differ from public school guidelines.
