Opportunity Summary 

Under direct supervision of a clinical supervisor and in collaboration with the Gender Health Center’s various departments, you will provide support, case management, intake and phone screenings, advocacy services, and harm-reduction and respite support among other responsibilities.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Critical thinking and critical self-reflection as well as how to support client self-determination, deliver culturally responsive and competent care to LGBTQ+ community members, collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team, advocate for community members, consult with other professionals, refer to other community resources/specialists (i.e.: our medical legal partnership), and more.

Opportunity Training 

BSW interns will undergo approximately 40 hours of onboarding training as well as specialized training for specific tasks.
