Opportunity Summary 

Intern will serve in a clinical role with the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program, providing individual and group counseling, assessment, referrals, and monitoring overall treatment. The SUD program is one of the oldest with CommuniCare+OLE, and offers the opportunity to learn clinical skills, systems of care and community resources, and to work with a diverse, interdisciplinary team.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Group and individual counseling skills, group facilitation skills, clinical assessment and diagnosing, familiarity with the Yolo County system of care for SUD and mental health treatment.

Opportunity Training 

Overall intern orientation, program-specific training with manager and colleagues, extensive shadowing opportunities.

CommuniCare+OLE requires all staff, students, and volunteers to have a completed Covid-19 vaccination series.
