Opportunity Summary 

Working with adults in the criminal justice system allows for the opportunity to work with an extremely diverse population. We work with clients who suffer from mental illnesses, addition, have housing needs, are facing years in prison, are young and just need a little extra support, and more. you will get experience working, collaborating, and advocating for adults facing felony and misdemeanor charges. You will not only be a part of the social work team but also with a team of attorneys, court staff, and jail staff.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Case management, county operations, time management, which population they are drawn to, triage, motivational interviewing, assessments, and more.

Opportunity Training 

new staff hire training and orientation. training in specific legal areas, court, jail etiquette, specific penal codes, case management, motivational interviewing
