Opportunity Learning Outcomes

Most patients and families we serve struggle with managing multiple psychosocial stressors associated with neurocognitive conditions, care needs, changes in lifestyle, relationships, and system problems. The role as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, in the medical field, assist patients and caregiver/families by navigating these stressors to reduce the negative impact on their overall health and recovery. There are numerous benefits of providing whole-person care to our patients and families – a patient-centered use of healthcare resources to improve care coordination and healthcare outcomes – and the importance of incorporating that care into practice.
