Opportunity Summary 

Experience working in a small, rural community! Students will gain skills in all aspects of Child Welfare social work and professional development opportunities, including child abuse prevention programs and foster parent recruitment and retention.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

-Engage families to provide connection to resources and community supports -Ethical decision making -Facilitation of group meetings -Assessment skills for child safety, risk and permanency,

Opportunity Training 

10-12 hours video training library, shadowing professional social workers, additional training opportunities as available.
