MSW 2nd Year InternshipAt — Seneca
Seneca provides the opportunity to work with youth and families in their communities through a variety of service delivery models, including community-based, outpatient, partial hospitalization, wraparound, and school-based. Interested students can learn more here: https://senecafoa.org/careers/graduate-internship-program/
Students will have learned to complete comprehensive clinical assessments, write treatment plans, provide therapeutic services to youth and families, as well as learning to bill MediCal or Kaiser Permanente.
All interns complete Seneca's 2-week (M-F 9am-5:30pm) New Employee Orientation prior to beginning internship. NEO is offered back-to-back in the summer to allow interns to select the NEO cycle that does not conflict with classes. Following NEO, interns transition to their specific program, where they work with their supervisor and mentors to begin shadowing more experienced clinicians as they build their own caseload. Ongoing in-program trainings are offered, and interns have access to the trainings provided by the Seneca Training Department: https://senecafoa.org/our-services/seneca-institute-for-advanced-practice/
