Alzheimer's Aid Society
2641 Cottage Way, Sacramento, 95825
The Alzheimer’s Aid Society exists to support those affected by Alzheimer’s disease – the individuals who have the disease, their family, caregiver, and the community. The effects of Alzheimer’s is felt by all, not just the ones who have it who slowly lose their memories. Their family loses a past, present, and future with their loved one. Their caregiver gives up their own hobbies and interests as they care for their loved one. And for the community there is the cost of medical care and the loss of the contributions to society of those directly affected by the disease.
How we help:
Providing support groups, compassion, and education throughout the journey of Alzheimer's disease.
Encouraging and supporting research into causes, improved diagnosis, and prevention of Alzheimer's disease. Supporting medical research and promote public awareness.
Advocating for the medical, social, psychological and financial needs of those with the disease, their families and caregivers.
Promoting public awareness to the needs.

American River Montessori
401 Mormon St., Folsom, 95630
We strive to provide a stimulating environment so your child can develop to his or her fullest potential. To do this, we teach by the Montessori philosophy. Dr. Maria Montessori discovered that children – especially preschoolers – learn through their five senses. Dr. Montessori developed individual learning tasks or “jobs” to promote active learning for daily life, sensorial skills, language, math, art and culture.
In addition, our curriculum includes Spanish instruction, a Music Together® program, a yoga program, and our Garden of Learning.
American River Montessori opened on June 1, 2008. This Montessori Preschool and Kindergarten is in a newly-built environment with a large outdoor setting located in Historic Old Town Folsom. We offer a school year program (September to May) with enrollment open to children 2-½ to 6 years. Applications are considered without regard of race, color, religion, national or ethnic origins. Children must be toilet trained. Five-day, three-day and two-day programs are being offered at three hours per session with both morning and early afternoon sessions.
We also offer year-round tutoring services for kids Pre-K through 6th grade, summer academic and fun camps for various ages, and special events throughout the year.
