The Folsom Historial Society was founded in 1960 by a group of local residents who recognized the need to preserve local history for future generations. Incorporated in 1961 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization, the Society’s mission is to collect, and preserve historical records and artifacts pertaining to Folsom’s rich past and to make these accessible to the public. The Society operates the Folsom History Museums including Pioneer Village which offer exhibits and tours about the California Gold Rush, Folsom’s native inhabitants, local settlers and ethnic groups, and the history of mining, the railroad, the prison and Folsom Powerhouse.

The Folsom Historical Society is funded solely through donations, memberships, and fund-raising events. Please consider joining our efforts by becoming a member or making a donation today.

And so Folsom’s Hope is doing just that: mentoring, tutoring, supporting, encouraging and nurturing at-risk students—elementary, middle and high school—right here in our own city.

The West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD) was established in 1965. It covers the cities of El Cerrito, San Pablo, Pinole, and Hercules and the unincorporated areas of Bayview-Montalvin Manor, East Richmond Heights, El Sobrante, Kensington, North Richmond, and Tara Hills.

Students will be engaging in various activities, including performing psychotherapy, carrying out and completing assessments, treatment planning, case consultation, resource development, and participate in community education events as needed and available.
