The Roberts Family Development Center (RFDC) program is based on the "Better Than Average" After School Program, which encompasses academic assitance, enrichment and recreation for students of the North Sacramento community.
The goal for the after school program is to make sure students have "Better Than Average" success. The program eases the transition between grade levels through enhancing and expanding our tutoring, homework help, mentoring technology, recreational activities and family literacy activities while promoting parent involvement and positive emotional and social development.

Michael Sanson, FMP; has been in the restaurant and hospitality industry for over 25 years. He began his career in the Phoenix/Scottsdale Market working in both the resort and nightclub segments where he learned operational awareness and hospitality at the highest levels. He then went on to focus on restaurant development and operations at many national airports. During this time, Michael participated in the evolution of dining in airports. He participated in syncing Local/Regional/National brands with their own company cultures. He also developed and operated internally branded concepts that met the needs of the airports. He has worked for “street-side” regional and national brands like Buca di Beppo, Bobby McGee’s and Los Angeles based Lemonade. Recently he also worked for Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri at one of his Tex Wasabi’s concepts. Michael’s passion for great food, five-star hospitality and superior health/safety standards distinguish him as a leader in the industry. Michael currently owns and operates Trademark Pizza Company in Roseville. Trademark Pizza, the award-winning pizzeria was the first quick fired pizza company in the region. His latest venture, Rock -N- Fire, will be the culmination of the many years and experiences in the restaurant industry and will undoubtedly be his finest work.

Sacramento City Unified School District is one of the oldest K-12 districts in the western United States (established in 1854). SCUSD serves 43,175 students on 75 campuses spanning 76 square miles.
SCUSD is home to a 2013 California Distinguished School (West Campus High School), the only public Waldorf-inspired high school in the nation (George Washington Carver) and the only Hmong language immersion program in the state (Susan B. Anthony Elementary School).
Alumni from SCUSD’s schools include U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, California Supreme Court Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye, nationally renowned political scholar Dr. Cornel West and author Joan Didion.
