Opportunity Summary 

Position Description:

Tutoring students 1 on 1 and in small groups for Spanish and other subject areas. Helping students navigate the college application system. Assist teacher with home contacts (in Spanish). Assist Spanish speakers with college application and financial aid process.

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

Develop professional skills for working with children and adults. Assist struggling students with their school work and college applications. Understanding for students taking risks (personally and educationally) in order to achieve post-high school education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Good listener.
  • Willing to participate.
  • Actively engaged.
  • Active learner, often on the spot.
  • Ability to coordinate small groups to work together.

Length of position: 16 weeks

Hours per week: 7.5
