Opportunity Summary
Position Description
- Assist classroom teacher in the planning and carrying out of all aspects of the student's school day including additional task/responsibilities per individual student IEP
- Responsible for understanding and implementing of distinctive Aseltine Program Framework. a. Academic b. Social c. Behavioral d. Physical Recreation
- Responsible for maintaining class records, grading, and organizing paperwork under the teacher supervision
- Participates in staff development and training
- Assist in preparing classroom material, maintenance and organization of classroom and housekeeping tasks within the classroom.
- Participates in a.m and p.m yard duty schedule
- Maintains and submits accurate logs and time sheets
- Perform other duties as may be required by Teacher, Program Coordinator, or Executive Director
Learning Objectives and Outcomes
- The on-going learning of the Aseltine Program Framework
- Gathering a better understanding of the students and population in which we provide both educational and behavioral support
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree, academic completion within Education, Special Education, or Child Development.
- BA or MA in Education, or other program relating to our population
