PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU PROCEED
Thank you for sharing your concerns regarding your academic internship experience. We are committed to ensuring high-quality placements for CSUSM students and will promptly respond to concerns reported to us by students, faculty, or placement sites.
Your review and accurate assessment will provide the Career Center Internship Team with meaningful feedback regarding our many employers and community partners. Once submitted, CSUSM staff will work closely with your Faculty and any other necessary university official to determine how best to approach and evaluate the internship site. In most cases, submitting a report will inform an ongoing review of the site but may not result in an immediate termination of the institutional partnership.
COURSE GRADES: The CSUSM Career Center is not involved in assigning course credit or grades for academic internship courses. Please communicate with your instructor about these concerns.
SITE/SUPERVISOR AWARENESS: Please keep in mind that, while the CSUSM staff will not disclose your identity during subsequent inquiries with the internship site, circumstances regarding your employment or reported concerns may provide sufficient information for the site to assume the reporter's identity.
ANONYMITY: You may opt to submit this report anonymously, but doing so limits our ability to verify details and respond appropriately as we may be required to do. Situations involving Title IX claims will be discussed with the CSUSM Title IX office, who will respond accordingly.
IMPORTANT: All University employees have a Duty to Report any information about an incident of Discrimination, Harassment, Retaliation, Sexual Misconduct, Dating or Domestic Violence, or Stalking to the Diversified Human Resources (DHR) Administrator and/or Title IX Coordinator. For more information on filing a report and reporting options for issues of sex- or gender-based discrimination or harassment (including sexual misconduct, dating violence, domestic violence stalking), go to www.csusm.edu/title9/report/index.html
If you have any questions or would like to discuss this matter further, contact the Career Center Internship Team at (760) 750-7005 and ask to speak with the Associate Director.
