Physical Therapy Aide InternAt — Rehab United Physical Therapy - Chula Vista

Position Description

Assist the treating physical therapist and aides with patient care. This includes: being able to instruct patients in exercises, properly applying modalities (ice, heat), maintaining a clean work space, cleaning treatment tables, and assisting in documentation.

Learning Objectives and Outcomes

By the end of the internship, the student will be able to show and instruct proper form in therapeutic exercises/activities, understand the anatomy and biomechanics behind the selected interventions, properly apply modalities, and assist in documentation.

Desired Qualifications

A background in anatomy, exercise, and a willingness to be proactive in learning.

Length of Position: 6 - 12 Weeks

Hours per Week: 6+
