AVID TutorAt — Rancho Minerva Middle School

Position Description (e.g. tasks, projects, assignments)
BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the AVID coordinator, tutor small groups of students and grade AVID students’ notebooks.

Learning Objectives and Outcomes
Outcome- Tutor small groups in specific subject matter areas using Socratic questioning, writing to learn the writing process, and cooperative learning. Grade student binders. Serve as positive role models, valuing education and its benefits. Participate in meetings and in-service training programs as assigned.

Desired Qualifications
Please attach a copy of proof of enrollment for verification of full-time student status, 12 units. Due to the funding requirements for this program, all AVID Tutors must be enrolled in at least 12 units.
