Marketing InternshipAt — Operation HOPE-North County

Opportunity Summary 

Operation HOPE-North County's mission is to offer a safe, supportive and caring environment to families with children and single women experiencing homelessness as they rebuild their lives and reclaim independence. These marketing projects and designs will help us be a voice in the community to advocate, educate and gain support of our mission to better serve the families experiencing homelessness. The projects include putting together pieces such as brochures, banners, flyers and posters and would greatly supporting our marketing needs for sharing our story, demographics, and critical needs to provide shelter and services to families and single women.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Operation HOPE-North County is a small staff team with limited funding. Marketing and Design support for these projects will allow students to learn about our mission, work closely with staff, gain experience and use their creativity all while supporting our unsheltered and food insecure community members.

Opportunity Training 

All interns will have a tour of the shelter and review of all program areas to get a general knowledge of the mission, organization and services provided. Interns will meet with a supervisor to go over goals and expectations for any projects assigned and will have regular meetings to review and discuss progress, outcomes and learning objectives. Students will become familiar with Canva, Social Media and other internal databases.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

For the health and safety of all our residents, staff, volunteers and interns, all persons are required to sign in upon arrival, have their temperatures taken, wash their and wear an approved face mask while onsite. OHNC follows all county and CDC COVID-19 health guidelines.

Upon completion of the application and a cleared background check, all students are required to attend an orientation and complete required forms.
