Opportunity Summary 

Behavioral Health Research Assistants will be integral members of a multi-disciplinary team conducting cutting edge research. Together we are reducing the leading cause of preventable death and disease. Clinical research skills gained in this opportunity are highly valued by employers and graduate school programs and translate to a variety of disciplines.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

1. Proficiency in human subjects data collection and processing in a variety of designs, such as prospective, cohort study and multi-site, randomized controlled trial 2. Methods for participant recruitment and retention 3. Behavioral research techniques including interview for assessing substance use (Timeline Followback), lab assessment for substance use demand (Purchase Tasks), behavioral support techniques, (Motivational Enhancement), and daily diary, depending on study 4. Use of various databases including Qualtrics and/or REDCap, Excel, and SPSS
