Opportunity Summary 

JusticeCorps members are trained in specific legal skills to provide information to self–represented litigants to resolve their legal matters. Members learn legal terms, how to fill out required forms, and how to explain court proceedings. Member training includes: · A two-day orientation · Ongoing legal training on family law, housing law, ethics, diversity, etc. · Training in site-specific legal issues · Participation in community service days · Specified member development sessions

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

MEMBER SERVICE All JusticeCorps members provide one-on-one direct service to litigants, support specially-designed legal workshops, assist litigants in completing forms, do front desk triaging, and help with written correspondence. Members complete a minimum of 300 service hours throughout a program year (about 8 hours a week). Opportunity Training 

Two full-days of Orientation and Training and two to three weeks of on-site hands-on training.

Opportunity Application Instructions 

Complete an inline application to include a resume and citizenship verification. An Interview and subsequent background check will be necessary to be accepted into the program.
