Opportunity Summary 

The student will be working directly with the Hermanitas Director to assist her in research and writing of more short biographies of Latinas who work in a variety of careers, to add to our collection. Interviewing the women (for those who are local) will also be included.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

The student will learn more about our nonprofit, MANA de North County, will learn the format we use for biographies, will learn how to write for middle school students in a way that is comprehensible (no embedded sentences, etc.). The student's class schedule permitting, they can come in person to meet our mentees as they meet after school at local schools.

Opportunity Training 

Training in the template we use and how to write using non-embedded sentences, avoid using the word 'before', etc.
