Science and ConservationAt — San Diego Botanic Garden (aka Quail Botanical Gardens Foundation, Inc.)
Dedicated to studying and conserving native plants, medicinal species, and food and agricultural plants, our Science & Conservation activities at SDBG have grown enormously over the past few years. Service learning within this department includes opportunities to work closely with the Science & Conservation team to conduct environmental restoration, rare and native plant nursery propagation, seedbanking and herbarium voucher preparation, and a variety of experiments and literature reviews.
Field, nursery, laboratory, scientific, and/or research skills
Requisite training to successfully accomplish field, nursery, laboratory, scientific, and/or research tasks
Work may be outside and in different weather conditions and uneven terrain. If working in nursery or laboratory, will work in proximity to chemicals requisite to those activities
Student will need to contact and interview with SDBG staff
