RYEP (Russian Youth Environmental Program) Project Intern At — CSUSM American Language and Culture Institute
Interns will support a sponsored project implemented by American Language and Culture Institute of CSUSM. The project titled the Russian Youth Environmental Program (RYEP) offers Russian citizens aged 18-22 the opportunity to travel to the United States for an in-person exchange program and learn about environmental stewardship, American culture and English language, leadership, and community service. Serve as CSUSM Ambassador Team lead Lead social and team-building activities (design and implementation) Create, distribute, collect, and organize program materials Moderate RYEP-related social media and group chats Assist with Orientation for RYEP participants Assist with implementation of program components (e.g., team-building activity, etc.) Attend selected program events (TBD) Escort students to event locations to ensure timely arrivals; track attendance Liaise between RYEP participants, CSUSM ambassadors, and RYEP project staff on a daily basis
Develop basic skills of supervision Develop event planning skills, from creation of student-focused activities to their implementation Hone oral and written communication skills Learn what resources are available on campus and within the local community to support a sponsored project
Project interns will receive an orientation.
Wear sunblock and stay hydrated during outdoor activities.
