Opportunity Summary 

This position will serve as a Project Coordinator in the Department of Public Health within the College of Science at Cal State East Bay. The project, CARE (Collaborative Approach for AANHPI Research and Education) 2.0, is funded by the National Institute of Aging with a subaward granted to Cal State East Bay under the oversight of the site Principal Investigator (PI) to recruit additional participants of South Asian descent into the study registry and to retain those enrolled in the first wave of this research.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Student will gain experience in community-engaged public health research, including effective contextual outreach, data collection/organization/analysis, and multi-sector collaboration with institutions across the U.S.

Opportunity Training 

The Principal Investigator of the project will provide an in-person training and provided mentored research experiences for the student.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Student will complete all necessary trainings (e.g., IRB) provided by the University.
