Opportunity Summary 

CSUSM Fitness and Wellness welcomes individuals of all backgrounds and skill levels. The internship/volunteer program aims to help students interested in fitness and wellness develop interpersonal and leadership skills while building relationships with the Campus Recreation team. Interns will gain insights into event programming, group fitness classes, personal training, and various fitness and wellness topics. The program offers ample opportunities to acquire the skills and experience necessary for exploring careers and personal hobbies in fitness and wellness.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

The purpose of the CSUSM Fitness and Wellness intern/volunteer program is to give students who are interested in the Fitness and Wellness, the opportunity to develop both interpersonal and leadership skills while building relationships with Campus Recreation’s Fitness and Wellness team. This program is designed to give interns/volunteers insight into the ways Fitness and Wellness plans and facilitates event programming, group fitness classes, personal training, and a wide variety of other fitness and wellness topics. Through this program you will find ample opportunity to gain the skills and experience necessary to explore career and personal hobbies within fitness and wellness.
