Students will participate in a service-learning opportunity by tutoring elementary and middle school students. Students will have gained valuable experience in classroom management and mentorship, understanding how to motivate and support young learners. The onboarding training for service learning volunteers includes an orientation session to introduce the organization and its programs, role-specific training to outline responsibilities and develop necessary skills, and safety guidelines to ensure health and safety. Volunteers also receive hands-on training and shadow experienced members. Cultural competency training is provided to work effectively with diverse populations.

A short interview will be conducted to ensure a good fit for the assignment before placement at a school.
