Specialized Academic Instructor Assistant InternAt — The Classical Academy
The intern’s role will focus on learning essential classroom and behavior management strategies, tailored to meet the diverse needs and preferences of students. This position offers interns the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop the skills necessary to implement effective behavior and classroom interventions in a school setting. Under the guidance of a BCBA, RBT, and site administrators, interns will receive continuous training and support to build both their techniques and confidence in working with all learners. This role involves working one-on-one with a student or in small groups, fostering inclusive practices and helping students develop the skills needed to thrive in an inclusive environment
The Classical Academy understands the importance of learning key classroom and behavioral interventions as essential preparation for contributing effectively in a school setting. Hands-on experience provides an invaluable opportunity to apply these skills and meet the diverse needs of our students.
RBTs and BAs will offer on-the-job training, equipping interns to work with specific students and implement a variety of behavior intervention strategies. Interns will also take part in scheduled trainings focused on behavior and academic interventions designed to support the success of all students
Interns will be provided with a Crisis Prevention Intervention overview
