APE InternAt — Vista Unified School District
Student will learn what goes into being an APE teacher, will gst hands on experience with students of all abilities and help navigating legal avenues through IEPs.
At the end of the opportunity the intern will understand how to modify and adapt both curriculum and equipment to help each individual student access their physical education. The intern will also learn how to attend an IEP and what goes into a legal assessment for each student. I believe they will come out of the internship with more knowledge about the field so he can be more prepared to start their career.
Dedicated time to collaborate and work on different lessons. Hands on field work that will provide training for different kids of students.
Student may be required to do some lifting, must be physically capable to run, jump, and play with students. Must be able to drive between school sites.
