Baby Brigade Volunteer At — Children's Paradise - Poway
All student volunteers will be paired with a Shadow Buddy or Mentor Teacher at one of our locations. These teachers maintain the passion and expertise to help guide you during your internship. Your role will be to support the teachers in the classroom. Here are some examples of the support needed: Actively supervise children Engage with children through play Help gather/preparing materials Implement fun activities Maintain organization and cleanliness in classroom environment
Requirements Joyously Play with Children Get to know and interact with them through play. Actively Supervise Children (review handout) Meaningful Create Experiences Collaborate with the teachers in creating intentional learning experiences for children.
All students will engage in an online orientation and be required to complete a Mandated Reporter training.
Students will be required to: - Submit an application (https://recruiting.paylocity.com/recruiting/jobs/All/45af2a63-7ab4-442f-...) - Interview with the Substitute & Volunteer Coordinator - Submit a TB test, immunizations (MMR and TDAP), form of ID, and a Baby Brigade Policy (super easy, just upload to our system) - Complete a Mandated Reporter Training - Review online Orientation - Complete background check ONLY for internships
