Physical Therapy InternAt — Longevity Physical Therapy - San Diego
Our Physical Therapy Internship is a program to provide students an opportunity to get exposure to patient care while gaining hands-on experience in a clinical setting. This role is ideal for students pursuing a career in physical therapy, offering valuable exposure to outpatient orthopedic care and professional clinical workflows. Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn are essential.
Responsibilities include assisting with exercise setup and instruction, preparing treatment areas, observing patient sessions, and general clinical maintenance. Students will develop a better understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, and kinesiology. Students will also develop critical communication skills which are necessary for success in this profession.
There will be a 2 week trial period to determine appropriate between the student and the clinic staff. During this time, they will be shadowing our physical therapy aides who are already employed by the company and have been through the internship program themselves. No additional or external training will be required.
