Legal InternAt — Sifuentes Law Firm APC
This internship will offer the student a behind the scenes insight into the immigration process along with growing their understanding of family law topics. Interns will have opportunities to attend court hearings both virtually and in-person. Interns will file and organize legal work, translate legal documents, and attend to client's questions and concerns about their documentation that they may have received. Interns will be able to shadow the attorney along with learning how to answer office phone calls and office emails.
Students will be able to gain exposure to legal concepts and experience real-world application of laws. Students will have opportunities to conduct case law research and draft client letters or motions. Students will be able to better understand case management and client communication. Overall, students will experience Professional development as they learn the importance of ethics and confidentiality, professional boundaries, and workplace dynamics.
