Social Media Marketing InternAt — San Diego North Economic Development Council

Opportunity Summary 

SOCAL is looking for a creative and organized intern to support our social media presence and outreach efforts. You'll help grow awareness of of our signature SOCAL (www.socalworkforce.org) project through engaging posts and videos—while gaining valuable experience in marketing, content creation, and community engagement.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

A deep understanding of how to plan and execute a multi-channel social media program reaching multiple audiences and requiring multiple tones. Fuller grasp of workforce development system and human resource requirements among North County Employers. Strategic planning skills in building audience and awareness of this workforce development resources Editing videos for multiple platforms with different audience expectatons.

Opportunity Training 

The student will receive at least 2 weeks (4 to 8 hours) of training on social media platforms and the overall SOCAL workplan. In addition, we are committing to spending at least 1 hour a week mentoring about broader topics relating to non-profit marketing & Management.
