Youth Development & Events At — Boys & Girls Club - Village Clubhouse

Opportunity Summary 

This position is a unique collaboration of youth development and creative mentorship, focused on guiding elementary-age members in the Art Studio. The role will emphasize hands-on instruction and encouragement as children design and create seasonal and holiday-themed projects. These projects will not only support skill-building in art and creativity but will also play a central role in enhancing our large-scale Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad events. Finished pieces will be showcased as decorations, exhibits, or interactive elements during Club-wide and community celebrations, highlighting the creativity of our members and deepening their sense of contribution and pride. The position requires a passion for working with young children, strong mentorship abilities, and the creativity to transform art activities into meaningful experiences that align with the Club’s mission of fostering growth, connection, and community engagement.

Opportunity Training 

The student will never be alone with any children therefore will not need to complete the mandated reporter training. They will receive a staff and volunteer handbook and will go over policies and rules with our Program Director
