Opportunity Summary 

Under the supervision of the Site Supervisor (or designated teaching staff), college students will have an opportunity to work in a trauma informed, federally funded Head Start classroom with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children. This may include interactions with family service staff and multi-disciplinary team members.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Students will gain knowledge and skills related to creating and maintaining a high quality, safe learning environment for children and others; supporting children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development; working effectively with children, teaching staff, and supervisors

Opportunity Training 

Orientation to organization, Head Start program, site, and classroom, mandated reporter training
