Student WorkerAt — San Diego County District Attorney
Working closely with restitution unit to determine if adjudicated cases require restitution follow up. Utilizing inhouse tracking system and case management system to review reports, generated documents and contact victims as necessary. Assist paralegal with runs to court business office to pull court documents as needed.
Working in law enforcement environment the student worker will gain an understanding of how the justice system works and the experience of working in a formal business environment. They will have the opportunity to observe cases and legal proceedings to gain a better understand how the law is applied in real instances.
Student will be trained in how to navigate our internal systems and generate documents. Student will be given training on phone etiquette and how to handle inquiries from the public.
