Paraprofessional At — Zen Educate
This opportunity is for a paraprofessional in a Gen-Ed or Special Day Class serving students with diverse learning needs who require specialized academic and behavioral support. Students spend most of their day in a structured special education classroom, with opportunities for inclusion in general education settings for select subjects or activities when appropriate. Instruction is individualized and aligned to IEP goals, focusing on academic growth, functional skills, and social-emotional development. The classroom emphasizes consistency, positive behavior supports, and collaboration among educators, paraprofessionals, and related service providers. Support staff may assist with small-group instruction, data collection, behavior support, and daily routines to help students access the curriculum and build independence in a supportive, predictable environment. The student will be working at Westwood Elementary in PUSD starting 1/5/26
Experience supporting students in a special education classroom or gen-ed classroom supporting special needs and/or high behaviors Skills in implementing IEP goals and accommodations Data collection and progress monitoring techniques Use of positive behavior intervention and support strategies Collaboration with teachers, related service providers, and behavior support staff Supporting inclusion in general education settings Strengthened communication, classroom management, and student engagement skills
Student is required to complete Mandated Reporter training, Bloodborne Pathogens, AB 1172, and Workplace Harassment training.
