Community Outreach Intern At — Wild Woman Therapy
Intern will work in partnership with Dana Marie Nielsen, LMFT and Nubia Chong, MD to create trauma informed community based offerings for mothers, children and bipoc community members in Oceanside. Offerings are somatic in nature, and work at the intersection of personal healing and community building.
Community outreach, community building, group facilitation, emergent strategy planning, meditation teaching, art therapy facilitation and principles, eco therapy facilitation and principles. somatic thearpy principles and poly vagal theory trauma informed care.
Mandated reporter training will be provided, as will general ethics of working with trauma and minors. Intern will read Emergent Strategy by Adrienne Maree Brown and learn from two licensed professional about trauma informed care and facilitation of trauma informed healing spaces.
POPULATION SERVED: Students may be working with minors, elderly, behaviorally challenged populations or individuals who have a known criminal background or history of violent behavior.
- May be minors (10 year old girls for a rite of passage group into adolescence)
Already have intern. Intern will need to obtain background check and provide information to site.
