Student InternAt — Therapy Resources Inc
The student will have the opportunity to observe actual patient care from the staff therapists and clinical setting. It will also help the student understand what physical therapists and occupational therapists do, and further assist in their career decision making.
Each student will have first-hand real life experience on what therapist do and will directly observe treatment plans and techniques. The student could develop critical thinking skills, time management, effective multitasking and developing communication between staff members and patients. student will also develop and learn the concept of teamwork towards a common goal of providing excellent quality patient care.
The student will be working with adults and undergo a detailed clinic orientation to include but not limited to patient privacy, HIPAA, and safety procedures
Student will be constantly moving around and or standing. student may also be asked to lift or push 15-20 pound items or equipment
Each student applicant must submit resume' and obtain an approval from the clinic operations manager to do internship. Prior to start of internship, the student must complete the clinic orientation and complete the clinic student/volunteer forms
