Aspiring Scholars Intern – University CommunicationsAt — CSUSM Office of Communications
NOTE: Student must be an Aspiring Scholar program participant.
Gain hands-on experience in social media, photography, and storytelling while working alongside a dynamic team in Cal State San Marcos’ University Communications office. This internship offers a behind-the-scenes look at professional communications and the chance to contribute to projects that showcase the university community.
The student will acquire a strong foundation in social media, photography, and storytelling fundamentals. Interns will also build skills in meeting deadlines, communicating professionally, and collaborating within a creative team. Additionally, they will gain insight into the day-to-day operations of a university communications office and contribute to real-world projects that highlight the university community.
The student will work with a variety of team members to hone their skills. This will include peers such as other student photographers, social media workers and writers.
The student should coordinate with Rebecca Brooks, who oversees the Aspiring Scholars program. She will coordinate with site supervisor Eric Breier on the application.
